Founded in 1964, in the city of Cerquilho/SP, Cipatex® has always had its trajectory marked by innovation. Leader in the manufacturing of coatings, the company is recognized for the wide variety of products in its production line.
Operating in the national and international markets in the plastic and chemical sectors, Cipatex® serves several markets, such as footwear, bags and accessories, furniture, automobiles, construction, housewares, tarpaulins for roofing, sports and leisure, gifts, school, childcare, and adhesives.

Beginning of activities in the interior of São Paulo state with the manufacture of a hat band (a protective band used inside the hat), in Cerquilho/SP.
1967
Expansion of the product line with the manufacture of percaline, used in bookbinding, and polyethylene resin threads.
1970
Move to the Industrial District where the headquarters of the group are now located.
1975
Beginning of the production of products based on thermoplastic resin, the PVC.
1976
Union of the Pilon family with Cipatex®.
1987
Beginning of laminate manufacturing in calendering and extrusion processes.
1996
Dinaplast activities begin: distributor of Cipatex® products in Argentina. Cipatex® is the first company in the segment to receive ISO 9001 version 2000 certification.
1998
Petrom – (Petroquímica de Mogi das Cruzes) the largest phthalic anhydride manufacturer in Latin America is integrated into the Cipatex® group.
1999
Inauguration of Cipatex Nordeste in Bayeux/PB for the production of coagulated laminates.
2000
Dupont Cipatex® S/A is created in association with Dupont, responsible for manufacturing non-fabrics used in the production of synthetic laminates.
2001
Inaguration of Cipatex®, in Nova Hartz, Vale dos Sinos/RS, to provide prompt delivery and agility in product development, optimizing the production process in an important region for the footwear industry.
2002
Inauguration of Dupont Cipatex® to meet the demand for footwear components, cleaning and hygiene cloth for South America.
2009
New market – Cipatex® Adhesives – located in Cerquilho/SP. The Unit works with advanced technologies in hotmelt, PUR and adhesives for bodywork and painting.
2012
Cipatex® of America is created to continue the company’s expansion and internationalization process. Located in Miami, the company’s office and warehouse ensure prompt delivery of stock, in addition to the proximity to potential customers.
2013
Implementation in Nova Hartz/RS, of Cipatex® Sul, a stratura for the production of coagulated PU and PVC based laminates. And inauguration of the new Cipatex® Distribution Center in Cerquilho/SP.
2014
Cipatex® completes 50 years of history.
2015
Cipatex® Europe – Cipatex® starts operating a new business unit in Spain, in the city of Valencia, with the main focus of serving the furniture and footwear markets, as well as technical materials for boats.
2017
Cipatex® Europe achieves ISO 9001:2015 certification. The company is the first in the segment in Latin America to receive the latest version of the certificate, granted after an audit conducted by ABS (American Bureau Shipping).
2018
A pioneer in the production of phthalate-free laminates, Cypatex® leads the way once again with the launch of the “Vegan Premium” line, making it possible to make material for shoes, bags and accessories free of raw materials, and additives of animal origin.
2019
Cipatex® presents to the market its new coating, the “Vinyl Tech”, to meet the increasingly conscious consumer, concerned about issues related to the environment and interested in products that confer durability.
Distribution Center
Inaugurated in 2013, the Cipatex® Distribution Center has 9 thousand square meters, 12 meters high and storage capacity equivalent to two months of production.
Located in Cerquilho/SP, the DC ensures agility in fulfilling orders and is one of the main logistics centers in the country, exporting products to all of Brazil and Latin America.
A modern management system does all the control, separation, and shipping of materials with a high level of accuracy and safety.
Technological Center
The Cipatex® Technology Center, located in Cerquilho/SP, follows the world trends and guarantees innovative products to the market. It is also responsible for supporting the DNP laboratories of the Cipatex® Group units and the production.
The development laboratories of the Cipatex® Group units have high technology equipment for developing and testing new products, according to the customers’ needs.

FIRST COMPANY IN THE SEGMENT TO BE CERTIFIED BY ISO 9001 BY ABS QUALITY EVALUATIONS
Note: This was an important achievement for Cipatex, because it was when the company started to create procedures, work instructions, in short, to organize itself and increase its competitiveness. We chose ABS because it is an international organ (American), which also facilitated Cipatex exports to the world.
2006
10TH STATE AWARD FOR CONSERVATION AND RATIONAL USE OF ENERGY – FIESP
Note: Cipatex won in 2006, along with Bandeirante Energia, Embraer and TRW, this award promoted by FIESP (Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo).
2007
FINEP INNOVATION AWARD SOUTHEAST REGION, 2nd PLACE in PROCESS CATEGORY
Note: In the Southeast region 214 companies competed, 18 of which were finalists. Cipatex was 2nd place in the process category. Among the winning companies were Embraer, Oxíquimica and Natura.

Note: CIPATEX was the first company in the segment to obtain the gold certification related to sustainability. This important stamp, focused on the footwear sector, has Vulcabrás, Picadilly and Bibi as certified companies. The certification audits are accredited by SGS and SENAI.

TOP TRAJETORY AWARD BY PLÁSTICOS EM REVISTA, FOR THE 50 YEARS OF TRAJETORY
Note: This award is given since 2003 and aims to recognize the merit and stimulate the excellence, innovation, and dynamism of the plastics industry in Brazil. The award was presented to the founder of Cipatex and today a board member, Mr. William Nicolau.

Note: This award was organized by APEX to honor companies that export the most annually. In 2015, in the medium-sized company category, Cipatex was the company that exported the most, and in the large company category, the honored company was EMBRAER. As the highlight in internationalization, in that same event, the honored company was WEG.

Note: The award promoted by Honda is, besides an important recognition for the work, a stimulus for continuous improvement. It awards the best suppliers, those who present the best performance with the assembler. Cipatex is the main supplier of material for lining the seats of Honda motorcycles in Brazil.

Note: We received for the second consecutive year the Honda’s recognition, among thousands of suppliers of the assembler. Being chosen as one of the best suppliers is a source of pride for all of us.

Cipatex® is the first company in the industry to receive ISO 9001:2015 Cipatex®, manufacturer of synthetic laminates, has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification. The company is the first in Latin America to receive the latest version of the certificate, granted after an audit conducted by ABS (American Bureau Shipping). With operations in several markets, the company has 53 years of history and supplies the mining sector with Cipageo® geomembranes, PVC blankets used for waterproofing evaporation and decantation ponds, leaching piles, and mineral waste tanks.
